Lady was three years old when she came to us in the fall of 2002. She is a miniature mountain cur. We received she and her son at the same time. We found him a home and decided to keep her. She is a squirrel dog by breed but she is afraid of guns so no one had much luck using her as a hunting dog. That is how we ended up with her. She made quite the impression on me in the first month of being here. She was a bad dog and killed some of my rabbits. After wiring in all of the rabbit hutches and finding a home for her son, she calmed down a bit. She has also gotten a chicken or two over the years. She stays in the pen and in the house during the day and only goes out in the main yard at night. That way I know all of my animals are safe. She is a great guard dog to keep all of the wild critters chased off. Her and Missy Blue work together to keep everyone safe. Lady is an odd dog. She does everything quickly and with a lot of effort :) When she comes in she is running and hyper, when she eats she does it wiggling, when she goes outside she is running full speed. Even when she comes to get some loving she runs and jumps on you, then she presses her body as hard and as close as she can get. She loves to have attention. Actually, she seems to enjoy everything she does.
