Missy Blue

Missy Blue (Moose) is the next to the oldest out of our pack. She has some collie/husky and a lot of mutt in her. She was born May of 1998. Her mother belonged to a neighbor. When she became pregnant he did not want her any longer so we took her in. She had 8 healthy babies. We found them all homes except Missy Blue. She was the runt and would cry because all of the other puppies would beat her up. We felt so sorry for her. She was adorable with her beautiful ice blue eyes. She grew and grew and grew. I don't think she stopped until she hit about 75 lbs. I heard some of the other pups were even bigger than she was. Guess it was a good thing we kept the runt :) Missy Blue is a quiet dog. Most of the time you don't even know she is around. She only likes a little attention and hardly gets into any trouble. She does come and ask to go out and if you ignore her she will continue to bug you by putting her paw on you and nudging you with her nose. When she was younger and stayed in at night she would wake us up in the middle of the night to go outside. We learned our lesson and now we just put her out before we go to bed. We got tired of getting woke up :) I like leaving her out at night so that she can chase all of the wild critters off that may be a threat to my chickens. She comes in the house in the morning and rests for several hours from her night out. She is a great dog that needs very little. She is just happy to have a place to come and sleep.
